Species: Canine Breed: Miniature Schnauzer Age: 7 years Reason for Consultation: Dental Prophylaxis
During the consultation and physical examination, the patient was found to have halitosis (bad breath) and a noticeable accumulation of dental tartar.
The owner was advised of the importance of performing a dental prophylaxis every 6 months to prevent tartar buildup and potential periodontal infections, such as gingivitis.
Additionally, it was recommended to perform a complete blood count (CBC) prior to the procedure to verify that the patient is clinically fit for anesthesia and the prophylaxis.
